Amtrak business car 10001, the Beech Grove, is shown at Washington Union Station. This car that stuck out like a sore thumb from the others on the tracks waiting to board. It was clean and shined!
A converted Amfleet car, the Beech Grove is equiped with a small observation platform and plenty of lights for veiwing the track at nights. It also features a video camera (mounted in the housing above the platform) to allow passengers to view the track on monitors inside the car.Photographer: John Kenna -- jt-kenna@mn.mediaone.net
