Seattle Transit System Last Trolley

Here is another "last trolley" photo (from the Seattle Transit System collection). It is said by the caption to be the actual last car. Unfortunately, it is an after-thought photo (it is in a back lot at Seattle's Jefferson barn).

Other trolley lines were abandoned earlier in the year. Sources say that the tracks were torn up on 8th Avenue within a week of the end of trolley service. It was war time, and the steel was valuable.

Southern Pacific Semaphores

Lima Shay built 1929, owned and lettered for Railway Appliance Research Ltd. Numbers 115 and 114 were used at Vancouver Wharves for switching potash cars. April, 1967.
