San Francisco, CA - Muni Dispatcher's Board. The image on the Muni Central page shows a line overview of the Muni Metro Railway from Church station to Embarcadero. This image is captured from the screen of the computer in Muni's control center that is used to control trains in the subway via the new Automatic Train Control System (ATCS). The www.sfmunicentral.com web site was created by Booz Allen & Hamilton primarily as a tool for Muni's operating staff and its consultants to view the railway remotely and assess and debug problems. Although not originally intended for the public, once the URL became known, it was decided to continue to allow public access to the site.

Santa Ana Train Station, California, USA. Live Amtrak, Metrolink and BNSF railroad action captured from the color cameras at the pedestrian platform at the Santa Ana Train Depot. One image from each camera every 30 seconds around the clock. An interesting and active location with a reasonable refresh rate and nice views of the railroad.

St. Joseph, Michigan - View the scenic downtown and waterfront areas using our 24-hour WebCam! This camera occasionally shows a shot of a Railroad Swing Bridge in the harbor. It's much more common to see a picture of the lighthouse or breakwater. Catching a view of a train is a very rare treat, but as this image shows it does happen.

Tehachapi, CA - Tehachapi RailCam

Located South of Bakersfield, California, Tehachapi is the busiest single tracked mainline in North America. Here the tracks are shared with trains from the Union Pacific Railroad and Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad.

The camera only activates when a train is within range. After a picture is snapped the images are uploaded to the main server within two minutes. The images will remain until another train passes and the images are updated. The system resets near midnight. While the images are still photos, you have the advantage of always being able to see a train on this site. You can also review previous photos taken earlier in the day. This is one of the best Railcams around.

Tiny Town, CO - Live Steam Railway & Village

Tiny town was created at the site of the Denver-Leadville stagecoach stop in a scenic mountain canyon southwest of Denver in 1915. That's when moving-company owner George Turner began constructing one-sixth-sized buildings with a turn-of-the-century flavor to delight his young daughter. In 1920 the town was opened to the public.

The webcam is located at the station for the miniature railway and takes a new shot approximately every 30 minutes.

The webcam image is of the junction of Aytoun Street and Portland Street in the City Centre of Manchester. This junction is the meeting point for two-way traffic on Portland Street with one-way traffic entering Portland Street from Aytoun Street and incorporates the busy Metrolink tram crossing (to and from Piccadilly Rail Station), three bus lanes, three pedestrian crossings and a cycle lane!
