This truly incredible cam has a view from the cab of a locomotive! Always wanted to travel the railroads of Switzerland with its dense track layout and service as well as it's great Alpine views? Well now you can through the Swiss locomotive rail cam.

A digital camera is mounted in the cab of an electric locomotive. This camera takes "snapshots" every so often and then sends them via a wireless data link back to this web site. The views, which are updated several times a day, show the track ahead as well as other passing trains, stations, the shops where the locomotive is maintained and those Alpine views. A nice sharp image, excellent views with a new snapshot roughly every 15 minutes or so.

Distant view of railroad lift bridge. You are looking eastward at the Cape Cod Canal. MMA fields and gymnasium are in the foreground. The Vertical Lift Rail Bridge is in full operation and behind that is the Bourne Bridge. Hang around and you're bound to see a ship on its voyage through the Cape Cod Canal.

A very scenic view from Carcross YT. Due to the infrequent schedule you'll rarely, if ever, see a train on this webcam. Still a nice scene though, looking NNE over Lake Bennett, the village of Carcross, and Caribou Mountain.

It's not readily visible without a train, but the White Pass & Yukon Route tracks are located in the line of brush between the camera and the lake. If a train passes by, you'll have a nice view, however with only one train per day (in season) you'll need to extremely lucky to catch it.
