Park Trains

Park trains are small gauge trains running in amusement parks, city parks and other public areas. Park trains usually have gauges larger than 7-1/2" but smaller than 3 feet. 12", 15", 18" and 30" gauges are common.

The UP (910) was purchased from a group in Manhatten, KS. It was the first train to run on our railroad. It was repainted about three years ago using paint donated by the UP.

The KCS (#31) ran at the Kansas City Zoo until 1972 when it replaced by C.P. Huntingtons. It was then in storage for approximately 10 years.

photo of the 2' gauge "Rome and Fort Bull RR" at the Erie Canal Village, Rome NY. The locomotive was specifically built for this park, I believe. It is now out of service.
