Narrow gauge Brookville diesel locomotive. Operates at Biddeford Station in Biddeford Maine. The railroad is narrow gauge modeled after the Great Northern RR. Calls itself the Great Northern Narrow Gauge Railroad.

Excelsior Estate Railway Lokey

The Excelsior Estate Railway lokey. It is a Brookville battery trammer chassis from the Copperopolis consolidated mine in Copperopolis, CA. The power is a Studebaker six engine and transmission, original Ford "A" rear end to chains. The Caterpiller "20" radiator was last produced in 1932. Cab is from a Westside lbr. co drying yard lokey, also a Brookville. It is 18" gauge, 20" drivers on 30" wheelbase. All in working order excepting a gas tank and a battery. A very fine piece. I have ties (sleeping dogs) joint bars / spikes etc. and 16# rail enough for my 174' of planned line from the street to the back garden. Construction to start as soon as I sort out the mana brought home this last saturday, 7 tons worth

The track plan is to be a "J" figure with a turntable at the back garden ed having two stubs from it, one for the lokey shed and the other to be the woodpile loading track. I have in hand as well a switch nearly completed , needed some grinding and fitting together , this will allow a stub siding into the back corner to store the odd stock .
